Falmouth Spring in Live Oak

Falmouth Springs is located just minutes from where we went cabin camping at the Suwannee River State Park in North Central Florida. We were passing by it and saw the sign, so we stopped to check it out.
The sign shows that there is swimming allowed there, but we didn't get into the water. In all honesty, it didn't look like a place I wanted to swim. Nobody was swimming there. Falmouth Springs is pretty, but it looks like a place that locals go to party. The area was littered with beer cans and bottles and didn't look inviting to take a swim, unfortunately.
Unlike other springs we are used to swimming in, this one didn't look like a nice, clear spring, which made us hesitant to get in. The park is free, so if you are in the area it is worth stopping to take a look for yourself to see if you'd like to jump in and cool off!
